How to Add a Virtual Candle to Your Website

A virtual candle can give visitors a simple way to pause, remember, pray, or show support. With the 247Candle API, your website can create a candle without building a candle system from scratch.

When does this make sense?

It can fit a memorial website, a church page, a community support page, a wellness project, or any place where visitors may want to mark a quiet intention.

How does the integration work?

Your site sends a JSON request to 247Candle with the required fields. 247Candle creates the candle and returns a public URL. Your site can then show that URL to the visitor.

Do you need to choose a theme?

No. The theme is optional. If your website does not send one, 247Candle chooses a default active theme. If you want more control, the OpenAPI schema lists the available theme IDs.

What about privacy?

Keep the form simple. Ask only for the name or intention, the display name, country, and an optional short message. Avoid sensitive personal information.

Where to start

Start with the documentation at https://www.247candle.com/api/. For a manual candle experience, link visitors to light a candle.
